At many childcare facilities in Thailand, only some staff members are officially certified. At Yumeterasu, however, every staff member, both our Japanese and Thai teachers, holds a recognized childcare qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Thai childcare qualification is a rigorous certification earned by attending \"Baan Dek Thai School\" and \"The Thai Red Cross Society,\" completing a combined 210 hours of coursework and training, followed by 210 hours of hands-on practical experience, for a total of 420 hours before qualifying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, all staff members complete a one-week training program in Reggio Emilia education, learning a child-centered approach to childcare that they then bring into their daily work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Reggio Emilia education is an early childhood education approach that originated in the city of Reggio Emilia, Italy. It's designed to nurture children's creativity and help them develop independence and self-direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for Prinicipal Sugawara, she holds both a Type 1 Kindergarten Teacher's License and a Certified Childcare Worker qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
