I'm Sugawara, Principal and person in charge of Yumeterasu.

I earned my Type 1 Kindergarten Teacher's License in Japan and have worked as a kindergarten teacher in Bangkok for many years. It has now been over ten years since I moved to Thailand. During that time I got married in Bangkok and became a mother raising three children myself. Drawing on this experience, at Yumeterasu I practice childcare that respects each child's individuality and helps bring out their smiles.

Every child's words and actions carry meaning, and each child grows at their own pace. At Yumeterasu, we aim to recognize each child's individuality, nurture the areas where they already excel, and encourage the motivation to take on challenges in areas they find difficult.

There's a Japanese saying, "The soul of a three-year-old lasts until one hundred," meaning that the character and abilities formed in early childhood stay with a person for life. It reflects the period when motor skills, language, and communication abilities develop most rapidly. During this crucial stage, nothing matters more than creating an environment where children can feel safe and secure. At Yumeterasu, we build that sense of security by genuinely connecting with each child, and in doing so, bring out their smiles.

We also want to work hand in hand with parents, supporting each child's growth together as partners.

The name "Yumeterasu" comes from our wish to be a place that "lights up children's dreams" and "keeps shining, always." We hope to be a childcare-support facility that children want to keep coming back to visit, even long after they've grown up. It's with that hope that we approach both our childcare and our daily operations.
